Beginner Level

Students learn about the parts of the violin, proper care and basic bowing, plucking and finger techniques. Students learn about rhythm, begin to read musical notation and are given small songs and finger exercises to improve left hand finger dexterity. A focus is put on how to hold the bow, intonation and skills that will allow the young violinist to move on to intermediate violin lessons.
